Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before you hit the road
Q1) What documents do I need to rent a car?
Requirements for Rental

To rent from Trini's Rental Heaven, you must provide a valid Driver's License (held for at least 2 years), a valid Passport or National ID, and a major credit card for the security deposit. International drivers may require an International Driving Permit if their license is not in English.

Q2) What is the minimum age to rent?
Age Restrictions

The minimum age to rent a vehicle is 25 years. Drivers between the ages of 21 and 24 may be permitted to rent specific economy models subject to a "Young Driver" daily surcharge and additional insurance requirements.

Q3) Can I take the car between Trinidad and Tobago?
Inter-Island Travel

Vehicles rented in Trinidad must remain in Trinidad, and vehicles rented in Tobago must remain in Tobago. We do not permit our vehicles to be transported via the ferry. However, we have branches on both islands to assist you!

Q4) What is your fuel policy?
Fueling Your Journey

We operate on a "Full-to-Full" policy. Your vehicle will be provided with a full tank of fuel, and we ask that you return it full to avoid local refueling charges. Please keep your final fuel receipt for verification.
